Was great till it kept hitching up and crashing towards the end of the game. Almost unplayable. And this is on an iPad Air 2 with everything else closed

like the retro feel however game is littered with frame rate issues and you can also get stuck on walls and stuff. tiny is also very right as i completed the game in under 2 hours
iPhones need more little epic games like this. Great art, great controls, great story and gameplay. Im really enjoying it.
This game is great, it reminds me of the gameboy, the only problem is it freezes when I die, making me exit the app, closing the tab and opening it again. Please fix.
Cool little retro throwback with decent responsive controls and gameplay to keep you coming back for more.
Its short but if you are into time trials this is for you. However Im not into that. I will play it again just because it was so fun.
I love this charming little game. I was having a great time playing this game until I reached the end of the game. It freezes constantly and had frame rotate drops that make the game nearly unplayable. I have found myself manually restarting the app allot. I havent been able to complete the game because of these issues. Please fix devs!
Too buggy. Low frame rate on iPhone 6. Seems like a good game once the performance is improved.
Such a fun, well designed game! But starting about 70% of the way in, becomes paralyzingly glitchy during gameplay, and requires restarting after every death and most game save attempts.
Pros: Classic GameBoy creamed spinach graphics; nice ability progression; decent spacing of save statues (at least for awhile) Cons: Suffers from framerate drops and slowdown in area w lots of moving elements or background animation, which makes gameplay frustrating... Hopefully performance issues get fixed because its a nice little game.
Echoing what others have said --- I was really enjoying this game on my iPhone 6+ --- it made me nostalgic for the days of the original game boy. But as Im nearing the end, bugs start to creep in. Precise platforming becomes extremely difficult because of random frame skips, often while jumping. On top of that, recovering from death at the nearest save point begins to take an excessively long time. These bugs are so frustrating, because you are already invested in an otherwise very solid title up until this point. Once these bugs are fixed I have no problem recommending it, but these should have been addressed before release.
Im a little torn on how to rate this one. The game is fun, well made and has decent controls. Where it really shines though is the pleasing, retro GameBoy feel. The games creators did an excellent job of creating a game that really feels like it could have been released on the GameBoy in the late 80s. All that said, this game is SHORT. I finished it in one sitting. Took maybe an hour. Feels more like one level from a game rather than a full game. Worth 99 cents? Hmmm, thats debatable. Ive paid 99 cents for games with more play value. If you are a child of the 80s, or a fan of retro platformers, youll enjoy this game. Just dont expect much bang for your buck. Side note: I did not experience any of the bugs that others have complained of. Played smoothly on an ipad 4 from start to finish.
GREAT gameplay, but same bugs as others have reported - on iPhone 6, serious lags and frame skips make the harder areas near the end impossible to navigate. App must be force-quitted after each death. Only taking off one star cuz Im a developer too and I know how hard it is, but please fix ASAP!
Great game, even gifted it to my nephew, but the game freezes each time u die requiring restarting the game - pls fix this.
How does a platformer have such imprecise controls and framerate problems
This is a compact adventure that will give you a fun action-packed hour or two. Great graphics, music and level designs. I experienced no bugs or frame rate drop as others reported. I did experience some issues with the controls (I think the hit box is too small for the jump buttons and all of the buttons in general). But its a minor thing. This is a super game and an obvious labor of love from the dev.
The game was fun, if a bit short. However it has recently become extremely choppy to the point it is unplayable and occasionally freezes completely after you die. Update please.
Nearing the end and ive got the same problems as other reviewers. Cant go any further due to lags, frame skips, and frustratingly have to exit the app every time i die or it freezes. Was a lot of fun until the problems started!
A short and sweet throwback to game boy games. Not a long game but fun throughout.
I really like the concept of the game and would enjoy it so much more if it didnt freeze up so much making some hard parts of the dungeon even harder, even after update still badly glitchy.
